Mark F. Weiss is a healthcare entrepreneur, attorney, and former investment banker with a focus on empowering physicians to empower patients. 

 

He is the founder of The Mark F. Weiss Law Firm,  representing healthcare clients on a national and international basis. The firm’s primary areas of focus are ambulatory surgery centers and other freestanding facilities, large physician-owned medical groups, and extremely entrepreneurial physicians involved in a wide range of healthcare ventures.   

 

He was a founder of Steering Advisors, LLC, a lower middle-market healthcare investment bank focusing on healthcare service and product businesses, as well as entities that sell into the healthcare market.  

 

Mr. Weiss is the author of multiple books and hundreds of articles on healthcare business and legal issues, and a frequent speaker at healthcare business conferences. From 2002 to 2013, he held an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where he developed and taught a seminar series on the business and legal issues affecting physicians.
