Greg served as President & Chief Executive Officer for Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Health System since 1997. Prior to his retirement in October 2020, he was responsible for leading Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and its affiliates, Wentworth-Douglass Physician Corporation and Wentworth-Douglass Foundation. Greg had ultimate responsibility for the Organization’s strategic, financial, quality, and operational functions. In 2017, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital became a member of the Massachusetts General Hospital family.
During his 24-year tenure at Wentworth-Douglass, the System received numerous awards and recognition for its outstanding quality outcomes and high patient satisfaction scores.
In July 2018, he was appointed to serve on the Tufts Health Freedom Plan Board of Directors. Greg serves as Chairman of the New England Life Care Board of Directors (nationally recognized home infusion therapy and specialty pharmacy services provider). He previously served on the following Boards: The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, Granite Health, New Hampshire Hospital Association, Foundation for Healthy Communities, and Voluntary Hospitals of America Northeast Region. Greg also served on the Joint Commission’s Center for Transforming Healthcare Leadership Council and as the Region I representative on the American Hospital Association Board.
Greg is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and earned a Master’s degree in healthcare administration from Xavier University.
Greg has authored articles and presented on various aspects of health care management including Lean/Six Sigma, hospital design, and disaster planning.
